What’s new in Sage 50cloud Accounts V28.1
The latest version of Sage 50cloud Accounts v28.1, is available from 16th May 2022, with new and improved features it’s everything you need to manage your business finances. For under £100 a month, you’ll have access to the best accounting software on the market, and when you buy through Softext you’ll also get a full set of user training manuals.
What’s new in Sage 50cloud Accounts v28.1?
As this isn’t a major upgrade, there aren’t lots of new features to be aware of. Here’s a quick summary of what to expect in terms of new features:
- enhanced business dashboard, with customisable elements including new widgets
- data management tool to analyse data providing guidance on archive and/or cleanse activities
There have also been improvements made to help users save time while using the software, provide better insights and simplify the VAT process.
If you are a current Sage 50cloud Accounts V28 user with integrations there are also some other changes you need to be aware of.
Integration with Sage 50 Job costing
If you currently use Sage 50 job costing, you’ll be unable to upgrade your software to version 28.1. The Job Costing add on has been retired from Sage’s product portfolio with all support withdrawn from 1st October 2021. This means that Sage 50 Job Costing is no longer being upgraded or improved, which includes the integration with newer versions of Sage 50cloud Accounts.
If you are still using Sage 50 Job Costing is it recommended not to upgrade any higher than Sage 50cloud version 28.0.
Integration with CIM 50
Similarly, if you are using the CIM 50 ISV solution you should not upgrade your Sage 50 accounts until you receive confirmation that it is supported. Check with your Sage partner or CIM directly for advice.
