What’s New in Act! Version 22?
The long-awaited Act! Version 22 has finally been released, bringing with it a host of changes designed to improve user experience and functionality, as well as enhancements to the marketing automation feature of the current Act CRM Cloud. The entry-level Starter Tier of the Act! Growth Suite has also just joined the market with Swiftpage’s latest release.
Why Choose Act! Growth Suite?
Sales and Marketing all in one – the new Act! Growth Suite has been created to help small to medium-sized businesses take control of their sales and marketing processes through one central platform.
With affordable options across all tiers, Act! Growth Suite is perfect for your businesses no matter where you are on your journey.
Act! Version 22 New Features
New Customer Console
The all-new customer console is a hub for all of your key information and insights, with out-of-the-box content to help you get the most out of your Act! subscription. The customer console is fully customisable to suit your individual business but also includes a set of pre-built charts ready to use. These charts include;
- Pipeline
- Open Opportunities
- Task list
- Hot leads (based on Marketing Automation score which is covered later in this post)
User Experience and Navigation Improvements
To provide a more intuitive experience for users, the Act! version 22 upgrade has an improved aesthetic design to offer more screen space and allow for easier navigation. The updated Marketing Automation navigation bar also makes it much easier to find your way around the Growth Suite’s marketing features.
Marketing Automation
Act! Growth Suite Version 22 also includes updates to the Automated Marketing section of the platform. To help users get the most out of the Growth Suite’s lead scoring features, the new version comes with a default scoring profile that will populate data without needing input from the user. The default scoring rule is used to automatically generate a score for your leads based on; email opens and clicks, landing pages completed, and web page visits.
To help users sift through multiple campaigns, templates and landing pages, Swiftpage has also introduced a new grid layout to Act! Automated Marketing. This will make it easier to locate your campaigns and fit more items on the screen for a better overall view.
To help Marketing Automation users stay on top of their scheduled campaigns, the new Act! Growth Suite comes complete with notification updates. This useful little feature serves as a great reminder to let you know when your campaigns are sent, with additional real-time campaign logs so you can see everything as its happening. Great for pre-scheduled campaigns!
Another handy feature in Act! version 22 is the incorporation of the marketing automation tab on your contact records. Using this tab you’re able to quickly send a tracked email to any of your contacts directly from the contact card, as well as being able to easily add them into an existing marketing campaign. You’ll also be able to view a contact’s score and campaign data, all without ever having to leave their record.
One of the most exciting developments in the latest version of Act! is the fact that marketing campaigns can now be powered using data from your custom tables. This gives you far more flexibility when choosing the recipients of your campaigns. You can read more about this in the Custom Tables section below.
Finally, to help users get started with Act! Growth Suite’s new marketing campaign feature, version 22 includes a selection of pre-built campaigns. These campaign templates are ready to use out-of-the-box and include; sales prospecting, sales promotion, simple 1 step emails, a welcome campaign, a newsletter campaign, promote a webinar, and promote an event. Perfect for taking that first step into automated marketing!
Custom Tables Enhancements
Custom Tables is a widely-used feature for many Act! users and in version 22 this has been developed even further to provide more flexibility for searches. In Act! Version 22 users will have the ability to create groups and advanced queries based on custom table data – for example, you could create a group for contacts who are approaching their subscription renewal date, or something similar. This data can then also be used to power automated marketing campaigns, giving you more options to target your customer base.
The changes to Custom Tables also mean that mail merge templates will now be able to include today’s date too.
New Growth Suite Starter Tier
The release of Act! Version 22 sees the introduction of the entry-level Growth Suite Starter tier, which utilises the same technology and features as Act! 360.
The Act! Growth Suite Starter Tier provides all of the basic features of Act! CRM such as, creating activities, adding a to-do, and making a recurring activity. The new Starter Tier also has its own revamped emarketing platform, however in this version the much simpler drag-and-drop template editor from automated marketing has been incorporated.
The Act! Growth Suite Starter version also includes 25,000 emails per year (much more than Act! 360) as well as the ability to create call lists off the back of the emails.
General Improvements
Act! CRM Version 22 includes some overall improvements such as the new blue colour scheme that will be implemented across all versions. Web versions will also include new arrangements of toolbars, menus, icons and navbar.
